Welcome to Extreme Steelheading.  My name is Jeff Novak.  I am a lifelong North East Ohio resident.  I have fished "Steelhead Alley" my whole life.  If there is one thing I have learned.  It's to expect the unexpected.  Steelhead can push both angler and his gear to the extremes. Drag melting runs are the norm. Snapped Rods, Frozen Eyes, Broken Reels, Shredded Tippets, Straightened hooks, I have seen it all. At the Net on a big Ohio steelhead

I have guided anglers through out the Great Lakes region since 1998.  I don't wear a watch or a wedding ring.  I will give you a full day of fishing and you will catch fish. I am licensed to fish all of the streams in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York.  I don't limit myself to one stream as many guides do.  By being mobile and fishing all the "Alley" has to offer.  I can find good fishing almost every day of the season.  I will bring top notch equipment on your trip.  All you need are your waders and a fishing license.  Everything else is provided.  I don't expect you to have the flies and specialized gear required as many guides do. You may fly or spin fish or combine the two methods on your fishing trip.
